Megan Hill, Psychotherapist
Megan Hill is a psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor working with adults in Winchester. She provides a safe, confidential space to explore difficult emotions, reflect on your experiences, and notice patterns in your thoughts and relationships. If you are feeling stuck or overwhelmed, working with Megan can help you gain insight and a deeper understanding of yourself.
Megan has many years’ experience supporting adults facing emotional and relational challenges in cancer care, hospice, and higher education settings. This work deepened her understanding of trauma, loss, life transitions, and the complexity of emotional distress. Her work is informed by psychodynamic thinking, which considers how past experiences and early relationships influence the ways we relate to ourselves and others today. In therapy, you can notice these patterns, reflect on their impact, and explore your feelings in a supportive environment.
Megan typically works in weekly, 50-minute sessions, usually open-ended, although shorter-term work is also possible. She begins with a brief complimentary phone call, giving you the chance to discuss your needs and see if her approach feels right.
She works with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, loss and life transitions, relationship difficulties, identity and self-esteem concerns, and health-related distress. Sessions are available in person in Winchester or online, providing flexibility to suit your needs.
Megan holds an MSc (Distinction) in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy, is a registered member of the BACP, and a registered psychodynamic counsellor with the BPC. She is currently deepening her training at the Institute of Psychoanalysis.
